20 Short films you shouldn’t miss at the 19th GwangHwaMun International Short Film Festival (Part 1) –

A short film festival is always a great way to experience different styles of filmmaking and this year, the 19th GwangHwaMun International Short Film Festival is no exception. The festival has been running for almost two decades now and it’s one of the most prestigious festivals in South Korea.

The asiana international short film festival is a film festival that celebrates the best short films from around the world. This year, it will be held in Seoul at the end of September and will feature 20 short films.

The 19th GwangHwaMun International Short Film Festival, which will take held at Cinecube (Gwanghwamun) from October 14th to 19th, 2023 in Seoul, Korea, will include these twenty short films.

To commemorate their second anniversary, Ji-eun visits her lover Min-home. kyu’s Min-kyu, on the other hand, tells her of their abrupt breakup. She couldn’t leave the location heartbroken, so she moved in with his family (GISFF 2023).

3. Chuang Shiang An’s Asphyxia – Taiwan | 2023 – 22 minutes 5th International Competition Section

A burglary prompted a lady to seek assistance from her estranged husband without hesitation, and the robber was murdered in the process. The spouse becomes a hero in the eyes of the public overnight, yet he may also be guilty for his unintentional manslaughter. Was her husband’s conduct a defense or a harm to the woman? 5. Yoon Dae-Cicada woen’s – Korea | 2023 – 17 minutes Section 3 of the Korean Competition

Chang-hyeon, a transgender prostitute, meets a visitor who seems to be both familiar and strange to him (GISFF 2023).

6. Zachary Woods’ David – USA | 2023 – 12 minutes 3rd International Competition Section

David is in need of assistance. David feels the same way (GISFF 2023).

The golf course’s self-contained universe mirrors social systems. Isabel, the new “tee girl,” is still learning the rules, but she’s already searching for ways to go around them (GISFF 2023).

Ga-Young wants to cast In-sung Jo, but there isn’t yet a plot (GISFF 2023).
